So here's what you missed....
- My nephew's band "Outline" have asked if they can use some of my tracks for a project they're working on with a female vocalist - something along the lines of Massive Attack or the Beth Orton/Chemical Brothers collaboration. I've got quite a few things they can use, so watch this space. "Outline" is 3 blokes who usually play stuff similar to Queens of the Stone Age, and are getting a lot of interest in the indie scene in the UK. They've done a lot of gigs, especially in the North West (UK).
- The bloke who got my tracks onto O'Neill's surfing DVDs (Deep Blue Open 2005 and Anglet Pro) is back on the scene and wants to use some more of my stuff for another O'Neill project. More news when I get it...
- A few people have been in touch, saying they've heard my tracks on the O'Neill Europe website. The whole of the Deep Blue Open 2005 film (25 minutes) is available for download as an iPod video (M4v format). "Never Alone (remix)", "Croydon Library" and "Hello" are all featured (about 12 minutes out of 25). "Croydon Library" is also on the video interview with Trent Munroe (world champion surfer). If you want to see the clips, go to the O'Neill Europe site and follow the "Team O'Neill" link.
- I've gone through all my unfinished tracks and ideas that I've got on my PC at home (actually, 2 PCs and a laptop), ready to get some tracks online and maybe get a proper EP out. I was quite surprised about how little work some of them need. Most of them seem quite "soundtracky" and would probably make good film and tv cues.
- Helped my stepson Paul get another track on myspace and MP3.com
- Put up the original version of "Never Alone" on myspace.
